I had the unique chance to travel to have a business trip to wien, today I have many meetings here since very early morning, so I decided to spend the weekend here. The city is gorgeous, I have never been in such a beautiful city and so respected, clean. I was worried because of visiting it on January, but I has opened me one of the specialities of this city, and no, I am not writing about coffees and cakes (believe me, I could, but I will keep that for the next post).
Wien dressing style is very elegant, everyone dresses perfect even though during the weekends. I guess being the classical music heart in the world has some impact on the lifestyle. I have been pleasely surprised by the amount of cute, small self owned winter accessories shops. Cold is a fact here in Austria (actually in all thecentral europe) so accessories are not accessories anymore: they are a need. Walking around the old town, framed in the middle of beautiful cafes and XVIII century buildings leverage from the golden Austrian age, these shops offer to the wideness people and also to the visitors, hundred and hundred of hats. Men, women, red, all dressing codes, all styles, colours. really, I found it a unique opportunity to buy winter accessories like that.
The wool blended hats, had removable pompom to create different outfits with the same hat.
I have experienced myself this weekend, how important is that either scarf, gloves or hat is wool made. So, travelling to central europe in winter? bring wool blended garments or better wait and buy them here! I promise you won’t regret.
